The Prince's Trust works with young people aged 14-30 who have faced difficulties in life and aims to provide a more secure and stable future for them. The Trust helps young people who have been unemployed for long periods, been involved with drugs or crime, experienced homelessness, left care homes (often with no educational qualifications) or who have disabilities. The Trust helps them by encouraging the development of skills and training, confidence and independence. In the last 25 years, The Prince's Trust has worked with over 400,000 young people across the UK.

The Trust helps young people set up their own businesses through low interest loans with the additional guidance of business mentors. The Volunteer Programme offers 13 week courses structured around self-developmental projects that directly effect the local community. Development Awards meet immediate needs and allow young people the chance to pursue particular interests.
